Caesars promo code for Big 12 Tournament

Neither Kansas State (15-16, 9-11 Big 12) nor Arizona State (13-18, 4-16) is expected to make much noise in the Big 12 Tournament.

Both teams finished below .500 against daunting schedules in the regular season and now find themselves as triple-digit long shots to cut down the nets at the T-Mobile Center.

And while neither the Wildcats nor Sun Devils are being given much of a chance to go beyond the opening round in Kansas City, they do seem to be heading in opposite directions coming into the tournament.

Arizona State vs. Kansas State betting preview

Every season has twists and turns, but it seems like everything has been a twist for Bobby Hurley’s Sun Devils.

Arizona State has been bit by the injury bug throughout the entire season, plus Hurley had to dismiss the team’s leading scorer, BJ Freeman, midway through the campaign.

Throw in the fact that the Sun Devils will almost certainly be without Jayden Quaintance and you can see how Arizona State may just want this season to come to an end.

Kansas State, on the other hand, could be a tougher out than its pre-tournament odds – and seeding – suggest.

The Wildcats have been up and down, but they’re fully healthy now with Coleman Hawkins returning after a three-game absence.

Betting on College Basketball?

While the head-to-head matchup favors Arizona State – the Sun Devils lost by one to the Wildcats at home and then trounced them, 66-54, on the road – there is some necessary context to those results.

Most notably, Hawkins did not play in K-State’s loss to Arizona State. But it’s also worth considering that the Wildcats shot 5-for-39 combined from beyond the arc in those contests.

Arizona State vs. Kansas State prediction

Some better shooting and the addition of Hawkins should put Kansas State over the edge.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see this one get away from the Sun Devils, who may just be in Kansas City to make up the numbers.

Final prediction: Kansas State moneyline (-285, Caesars)
