Rosie O’Donnell’s NYC penthouse has found a buyer

Rosie O’Donnell is finally saying “slán” to her New York City penthouse triplex amid a move to Ireland.

StreetEasy shows her Midtown East home entered into contract earlier this month after unsuccessful attempts by the 63-year-old to sell the unit for the past two years.

If the penthouse closes at its most recent listing price of $6.9 million, O’Donnell faces a $1.1 million loss.

Caroline Bass, who holds the listing with Corcoran, declined to comment.

O’Donnell purchased the 3,381-square-foot home in 2017 for $8 million.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom aerie includes a sprawling living room with a black granite, woodburning fireplace. The large kitchen features doubled appliances and a 70-bottle wine refrigerator — while a glass-enclosed dining room boasts East River views.

The primary bedroom includes six walk-in closets, an ensuite bath with a steam shower for two and a free-standing tub. The home’s ultimate spa-like amenity, however, is a two-person sauna.

The crown jewel of this crown jewel, however, is the 1,620-square-foot roof deck, accessed by a Guggenheim-inspired staircase.

O’Donnell initially listed the East 49th Street unit in the spring of 2023 for $8.3 million. That dropped down to $7.95 million before delisting and reappearing in April 2024 for $7.5 million.

The building, Sterling Plaza, offers residents a live-in super and a 24-hour doorman.

This potential loss wouldn’t be O’Donnell’s only real estate washout — she spent years trying to unload her Saddle River, New Jersey mansion before selling it for a $1 million loss to affordable housing developers in 2021.

O’Donnell is currently more than 3,000 miles away from her US real estate concerns, however. The longtime critic of Trump confirmed her move to Ireland with 12-year-old child Dakota in a TikTok video earlier this month, citing American politics as her main motivation.

“I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. And here we are,” O’Donnell said in the video.
