A viral video of a TikTok user cooking bacon in a pot is making people go bananas — perhaps rightfully so.
The less than 60-second video, posted by a user who goes by Jenifer, begins with the view of a stovetop pot — not a standard frying pan — filled with the pork product being moved with tongs in an attempt to cook it evenly, with overlay text reading, “Anyone else cook bacon this way? Just me?”
Once the bacon grease is foaming and the bacon is looking crispy, the woman removes it from the pot and places it on a paper towel-lined plate. The end result is a big ol’ pile of crispy, very greasy bacon.
“I know I can’t be the only one who cooks bacon this way! It’s so much better than frying and a skillet,” the crafty cook wrote in the caption.
“You don’t get the splatter and it all cooks and it’s done at the same time,” she explained, clearly not thinking much of her unusual cooking technique.
The video currently has over 9 million views and nearly 25,000 comments, with the very honest and relatable ones basically summing up what everyone is thinking after watching it.
The pot of bacon apparently was a sight millions of people who watched the video didn’t ever expect to see.
“I judged at first, and was immediately humbled. I bow to your genius,” one commenter wrote.
“I didn’t know chaos bacon was even an option,” another person joked.
“At first? war crime. By the end? sold,” another comment read.
Of course, there were also many haters sounding off.
“For me, there’s just something about my bacon being straight and flat. I find cooking in oven much easier. Put a piece of parchment paper underneath to make for easy clean up!” someone said.

“Oven method is the best way unless you’re about to cook some greens in that pot!” added another.
