Two alligators at front door of Florida home

See ya later, alligator.

Many Floridians have had bizarre encounters with alligators — but this one might take the cake.

A Sunshine State resident took to Reddit to share their frightening experience with two creepy reptiles that came up to their home’s front door, which was all captured on the family’s Ring camera.

The footage shows two enormous alligators dilly-dallying around the home’s front porch.

The gators were lingering, probably trying to get into the house. Ring

When one of the alligators saw that no one was coming to the door to welcome them into their home, they lingered a little bit longer before growing impatient.

The video then showed one of the reptiles standing on its hind legs — looking just like a person, with its face pressed against the front door. His sidekick was crawling on the ground right behind him.

Maybe he was trying to scratch his way in — or announce he was there and didn’t mean any harm?

One could only speculate.

The Reddit post has since been deleted, but the comments remain, with many people making light of the quite terrifying situation.

“Puppy is like: “Don’t move! They can’t see us if we don’t move,” one person wrote.

“We’re making…ummm…food… Do you have a cup of sugar I could borrow?” a commenter joked.

“They’re getting smarter. No wonder these things are living dinosaurs,” someone pointed out.

Not everyone found this funny, however, as a few other people shared how frightening the reality of the situation really is.

The terrifying experience was all caught on camera. Ring

“Terrifying, this makes me happy to be in any shitty weather location where a gator doesn’t ring my doorbell,” a comment read.

“You know what’s even more terrifying? They can climb trees and fences,” another commenter chimed in.

This isn’t the first time gators have wanted a taste of domesticated life.

Earlier this month, a Florida woman came face to face with a 7-foot-11 alligator in her kitchen.

After the home-owner’s photos of the terrifying encounter made its way around social media, WINK Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt posted them X, writing, “This big guy in Venice got inside by pushing through a front screen door, into the kitchen, while she was in the living room.”

Watching TV while the alligator got in, the woman thought someone who was at the wrong house was trying to get in.

“So by the time I got up and went near the front door, the gator was already inside.”

While in fight or flight mode, the woman eventually snatched her phone off her kitchen counter — which was just a few inches from the gator.

Eventually county sheriffs and members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission got rid of the unwanted guest.
