Butler has been no easy task for St. John’s this season.
The conference rivals will face off during the second round of the Big East Tournament, with the top-speeded Red Storm installed as massive 12.5-point favorites.
But I’m not expecting this one to be a walk in the park for Rick Pitino’s club against the No. 9 seed.

St. John’s vs. Butler betting preview
St. John’s was in real trouble both times it faced Butler this season, sweeping the sereis by a total of just 14 combined points.
In late February in Indianapolis, the Bulldogs kept it to a one-possession game until late in the fourth quarter before the Red Storm took control.

At Madison Square Garden in January, Butler got even closer to taking down the Big East Tourney favorites, holding a seven-point fourth quarter lead before St John’s roared back and pulled away.
Unsurprisingly, the Johnnies failed to cover the spread in both games.

St. John’s vs. Butler prediction
It’d be a shocker if Pitino and Co.’s tournament run is cut short, but don’t be surprised if Butler is able to make this one a game.
The play: Butler +12.5 (-110, Bet365)
