The Drake Bulldogs pulled off an upset Thursday night, toppling the No. 6 seed Missouri Tigers.
Bulldogs guard Bennett Stirtz scored 21 points and Tavion Banks put up 15 points of his own while pulling down nine boards as the Bulldogs held on after nearly letting a 15-point lead slip away.
The win snapped Drake’s four-game losing streak in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Bulldogs advance to face the winner of Texas Tech and UNC Wilmington.
