Ed Jovanovski lists a Florida home he developed for $14.99M

Retired Canadian hockey star Ed “Jovo Cop” Jovanovski is still scoring off the ice — as a Florida real estate developer.

The former NHL defenseman for teams including the Florida Panthers — who is also now the team’s sports analyst — is re-listing a Boca Raton waterfront estate that he developed for $14.99 million, Gimme Shelter has learned. The gated residence, at 989 Marble Way, first hit the market last year, asking $17.9 million.

The modern, new-construction property comes with direct access to the Intracoastal, and it’s within walking distance to the beach.

Jovanovski made a splash in 2016, when he sold his 20,000-square-foot Boca Raton mansion, at 528 E. Alexander Palm Road, for $15 million. He purchased that home with his wife Kristin for $5.2 million in 2011, according to reports.

Jovanovski’s current Marble Way listing, known as the Marble Palm Estate, comes with 120 feet on the water, and it’s less than a mile from the Boca Raton resort.

Built in a modern British West Indies-inspired style, the lofty lair is a roomy 7,677 square feet. It was designed by Brenner Architects, built by National Custom Homes and sits on a third of an acre. Inside, it features five bedrooms, five baths and two powder rooms.

The residence opens to a large great room with a gas fireplace, leading to a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar and a wood ceiling. Design details include floor-to-ceiling glass walls that let in the light.

There’s also a “clubroom,” with a walk-in wine tasting room, as well as a home office featuring water views.

Upstairs, the main bedroom boasts a sitting area, water views, a walk-in closet and a spa-like bath.

Outside, there’s a pool, landscaping and a 1,356-square-foot covered patio — along with an additional 1,100 square feet of outdoor space on the second-story loggia.

The listing brokers are Matt Moser and Nicholas Gonzalez, of Serhant.
