Marilyn Manson has listed his home in Glendale, California for $2.27 million.
Should the controversial goth-rock musician find a buyer for the dwelling — which boasts skyline vistas, mountain views and a wraparound redwood deck — he’ll turn a profit of just $75,000. Realtor.com first reported on the listing.
The divisive American rocker, born Brian Warner, has for more than four years been at the center of multiple sexual abuse allegations, all of which he has denied. But the legal battles are coming to a close, as is Manson’s time in the city of Glendale.
The 56-year-old shock-rock singer’s blue-gray home is marketed as a “zen retreat” by its listing agents at Douglas Elliman.
The listing describes the 0.33-acre property as “rich with wild flowers, lemon dress, and aged oak trees.”
Interior photos of the 2,107-square-foot home are conspicuously free of Manson’s signature style — think skulls and black candles. Instead, its brightly lit rooms, white-washed walls and wraparound redwood deck appear well-suited for a Crate and Barrel catalog.
The living room features a floor-to-ceiling lava rock fireplace, and the open-concept downstairs includes a chef’s kitchen. The home includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as an additional accessory dwelling unit that currently functions as a recording studio.
Listing photos also show an apparent yoga studio with blacked-out windows.
Manson purchased the property in May 2022 for $2.2 million, two months after suing his ex, actress Evan Rachel Wood, for defamation. Wood accused Manson in 2021 of sexually and physically abusing her, in a statement shared with Vanity Fair and posted to her Instagram profile.
The listing comes four months after Manson dropped the defamation suit and paid Wood’s $327,000 legal fees in a settlement.
Manson previously sold his Spanish-style Los Angeles mansion for $1.83 million in 2021, the same year it was raided by the Special Victims Units of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in connection to allegations of sexual abuse by several women.
California prosecutors dropped their years-long investigation earlier this year, saying in a statement that the allegations exceeded the statute of limitations, and they could not “prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Wood responded to the news on her private Instagram: “My lawyer and I were advised by the Deputy District Attorneys and the Sheriff deputies who investigated the case that there was compelling evidence to support our claims, but that the statute of limitations prevents many of those crimes from being prosecuted.”
Manson recently announced the spring kickoff his first American tour since 2019.
