Oddsmakers think the Giants may be up to something.
Though they currently hold the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants are neck-and-neck with the Titans, who hold the top pick, at DraftKings Sportsbook as the team most likely to make the first selection.
Both teams are -105 to be the team picking at the top of the draft, implying that the Giants are likely to trade up in the coming weeks.
The Giants have been vocal about their need for a new quarterback, and would presumably be trading up to take Miami signal-caller Cam Ward, who is a -250 favorite to go No. 1 overall and -1000 to be the first QB off the board.
The Titans have been seen as a team that could explore trading down since they landed the top pick in the draft.
Tennessee’s first-year general manager Mike Borgonzi indicated last month that there are “a handful of players … that you would deem generational talents” in this draft, which could mean he still wants the franchise to pick near the top.

“You certainly don’t want to pass up on one of those players,” Borgonzi said. “In an opportunity to trade back, it depends how far you can go back to get that player. There is a strategy to it.”
Curiously, the Giants are also the favorite to sign former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, seemingly suggesting that Big Blue could bring in both him and Ward, giving the rookie a mentor to learn under for his first NFL season.
Either Rodgers or Ward is the most likely scenario, but the odds underscore just how desperate the Giants’ quarterback situation is this offseason.

The Giants are armed with nearly $48 million in cap space, which could help them should they target Sam Darnold, who had a breakout 2024 season with the Vikings, in free agency.
