‘Stunning’ Grand Canyon coach Molly Miller takes internet by storm

Grand Canyon University women’s basketball coach Molly Miller is leaving her mark on the 2024-25 season.

The internet was buzzing over Miller after the Lopes punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever with a 65-62 win over UT-Arlington on Saturday.

Miller, in her fifth year with the Lopes, coached them to their first WAC Tournament Title in program history.

The blonde beauty was the center of attention in a video posted by the team on X that showed her dancing after a celebratory ice bath in the locker room.

At one point, she got on the ground and did snow angels in a pool of water.

Miller was wearing the net around her neck after cutting it down at Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nev.

“Absolutely stunning,” someone said.

GCU, a private Christian university located in Phoenix, finished the season with a 32-2 record and a 16-0 mark in their conference.

For the first time ever, GCU will play in the NCAA Tournament as the 13th seed and will face No. 4 seeded Baylor at Foster Pavillion on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas on March 21..

Miller coached the Lopes to back-to-back appearances in the WAC Tournament championship game in 2021 and 2022.

A Springfield, Mo. native, Miller started all four years at the point guard position at Drury University.

She ranks fourth in program history for career points (1,570), third for assists (439) and second for steals (407).

Miller spent four years as a marketing director for Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute before she took a pay cut to return to Drury as an assistant coach for two seasons.

She went on to become head coach at age 28 and coached the Lopes to the 2019 Division II Final Four and a 32-0 record in 2019-20.

Miller and her husband Derek have a daughter Crosby June and son Cy Carter.

Miller won two state championships at Kickapoo High School.
