In the recently released Netflix film “Zero Day,” Jesse Plemons’ fictional presidential fixer character lived and — spoiler alert! — died in this glassy aerie on the Upper West Side.
Now, the full-floor unit on the 41st floor of 200 Amsterdam has found a buyer, Gimme Shelter can reveal. The high-glam abode was last asking $22.5 million — down from its original $23.5 million ask in 2023.
The 52-story glass tower, built in 2021 following heated local controversy over its height, has become quite a go-to filming location for Hollywood. The building was designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects with interiors by CetraRuddy
A penthouse in the building now asking $34.9 million — down from its original $38 million ask — is where Nicole Kidman’s and Antonio Banderas’ fictional characters lived in the erotic film, “Babygirl.” It’s currently being listed by Peter Zaitzeff, Jamie Hannon, Donna Strugatz and Caroline Sipourene of Serhant. (Zaitzeff, Hannon and Strugatz are also the reps for the 41st-floor unit.)
It’s also where Oscar winner Kieran Culkin lived in a fictional home in “Succession” and has a close-up in Season 2 of Serhant’s reality show on Netflix, “Owning Manhattan.”
Finally, the home is where Serhant and actor Matt Damon hosted a charity event for Water.org, founded by Damon and Gary White. The charity’s mission is to help 2.2 billion people gain access to safe water. The event included a panel with Amazon Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) Kara Hurst, Rivian CSO Anisa Kamadoli Costa and Serhant.
The four-bedroom, 4½-bathroom residence that’s currently in contract takes up 4,672 square feet of indoor space — and an additional 626 square feet of outdoor space, with a terrace off the entertaining areas and primary bedroom. Its final sale price is not yet known.
The home opens to a gracious foyer with marble floors that lead to a park-facing terrace, and an open living, dining and kitchen area.
Design details include floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak floors and a fireplace.
The main bedroom boasts walk-in closets, a wet bar, and an ensuite spa-like bath with radiant heated floors and marble walls.
The home also features a “bonus room” with a sliding wall that can function as a home office, a media room or a study.
Building amenities include concierge service, a saltwater pool, a gym, a yoga and Pilates studio, a golf simulator, a meditation room, steam rooms and an infrared sauna.
