Video of Mets’ Juan Soto getting revenge on heckling fan goes viral

Juan Soto put the ultimate flex on a heckler during the Mets’ spring training game against the Cardinals on Monday.

While Soto was patrolling right field, a fan in a green shirt yelled “overpaid, overrated!” at the Mets’ new $765 million star, who stared back at the man in a viral video circulating on social media.

That moment allegedly occurred before the bottom of the third inning, when Soto smashed the first pitch he saw over the fence — right at the same fan who was heckling him.

The fan tried to catch the home run ball but failed and fell down to the ground as the Mets took a 4-0 lead in their eventual 8-0 win.

The Mets gave Soto the richest contract in sports history in December, a 15-year pact that includes a $75 million signing bonus and can be worth up to $805 million if the club voids the 26-year-old’s opt-out after the fifth year of the deal.

So it’s no surprise he’d be the target of some fans’ ire, especially if they root for a team who was pursuing him.

Soto, who’s expected to hit second in the lineup behind Francisco Lindor, has made a strong first impression with the Mets, going 8-for-18 at the plate with three homers, six RBIs and two walks in eight spring training appearances.

He’s also wowed hitting coach Eric Chavez, who told The Post’s Joel Sherman he’s gotten “goosebumps” watching Soto’s hitting routine.

Soto is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s exhibition game against St. Louis in Jupiter.

They will open the regular season on the road against the Astros two weeks from Thursday.
